Ruined News
- 13.11.07- Last Sunday we played our last gig until February in Greystones with Carosah, Down and Out, Putrefaction and Tunguska. The 7" also went on sale in Ireland this weekend, although without the inlay. Once we get them I'll put the word out and try to get it to those who got a record.
Next week we should be starting the recording for the Drain Land split 7", just two songs. One from our set and one new one we haven't yet played. Eric also put out his zine, Two Headed Dog, with the four-way split CDR. It rocks! Eric, you're amazing!
See yiz next year...
- 07.11.07- We all made it home safely after a great tour in Germany. We know have our 7" for sale. You can read an account of the tour here. I would like to thank Edward and Down to Agony, all those at Jonruell, all those who put us up and put us on, Strong as Ten, Born/ Dead, Krasskepala, Damaged Goods, Black Panda and Antimaster, to all who bothered watching and those who got the 7", Kazu, Jamie and Inti and most of all I would like to thank Philipp because he's such a fucking legend! Cheers all for making punk happen.
- 27.10.07- So, Sean and I are in Leige awaiting the rest due tomorrow. Everything seems to be fine so far bar the fact that we arent going to have our records until Monday.
- 18.10.07- Here's a quick update. We are a week away before we hit the waves and invade Euroland once more, although the first gig of the tour isn't for ten days on the 28th in Liege which will see the release of the 7"! Last night we played our third gig with the new line up, with Born/ Dead and new Dublin based band Skyt the Bed, and the previous Saturday we played Belfast with Stillbrith. Eric's zine and four-way CD split should be out very soon and details on how to get this, the 7" and the benefit CD for Carlo Levi should be up on the discog page soon enough. We also have been interviewed for Night of the Locust zine. Don't know when its due out though.
- 13.09.07- Ok so, have we been busy! Today we play our first gig with DivRu mk2.0. We only have our first five songs in our set but the next four wont be long to follow now that John and Sean are in the swing of things. We are almost finished to send off our four track recording to be pressed. This 7" is being released by the fine people at Contraszt, Cesspool, Acclaim and Humilidad Y Honestidad. We are really excited about this release and it should be on sale for the Born/Dead gig in Liege on the 28th of October, but there is a chance that there might be some copies of it at the Dublin Born/Dead gig on the 16th of October. We also have a track on a benefit compilation for Carlo Levi in Liege so when I get details about that I will post them up, and hopefully Eric Cotton Fist will be releasing his four-way CD split, with three of our tracks, with his next zine soon enough. Thats about it for now.
- 10.08.07- ICTUS from Spain had a severe car crash near Mink (Russia) on their recent tour. Their drummer got heavily injured. Due to his injuries he is now lying in coma at a hospital in Russia. As he has broken a vertebra it is not sure if he will ever able to walk again.
As soon as his condition is a little more stable, it is planned to fly him to a hospital in Spain. Doing that is expensive for sure, therefor all (financial) help is appreciated. If you can help out in any way, get in touch with Timo / cruste@no-pasaran.org
Thanks for reading!
- 08.08.07- We have begun recording our entire set of 9 songs, which means we are rerecording the first six we did. We are trying to sort out a week long tour in Germany around Haloween to promote our first 7" which we plan to have out by then on Contraszt (and more tbc). We have also had a band member reshuffle. Thanks to Yaz and Ed (drums) for the input over the last year. Much welcome to Sean O'Toole and John from Droppin' Bombs. Will get back to gigging once DivRu v2.0 get up and running.
